For over 40 years, the Crossfield and District Recreation Board has been working within the community to provide financial support to various non-profit recreation-based programs and groups. Funding is provided by the Town of Crossfield in partnership with Rocky View County and granted twice per year; March and October.
The purpose of the Crossfield and District Recreation Board is to promote quality of life by encouraging and sustaining growth in recreation and cultural facilities, activities, projects and programs that meet the needs of all members of the community
All non-profit groups boasting a recreational or cultural purpose are eligible to apply for funding. Full details on who is eligible can be found in the Recreation Board Policy.
The Board has previously provided funding to such programs as the Crossfield Minor Hockey Association, Crossfield Skating Club, Crossfield Minor Baseball Association, Dream Junior Golf Academy, Rising Sun Taekwondo, and many others.
Spring and fall funding applications, both capital and operational, are due March 1 and October 1 each year, respectively, by 4:30 p.m.
