Bylaws are the laws of a municipality and govern affairs and management of the Town within the town’s corporate limits. Town bylaws are created to protect the well-being of citizens, resolve issues and those matters listed in the Municipal Government Act.
The Town may create bylaws for a municipal purpose in relation to public safety, citizen health and welfare, protection of private and public property, nuisances and unsightly premises, public places, transportation, business activities, services provided by the town, utilities, animals and enforcement.
Information on enforcement of Town bylaws can be obtained by contacting Municipal Enforcement.
The following folders contain the bylaws and policies most often requested by residents. If you require a bylaw or policy that is not listed, please contact the Town to obtain a copy.
