Sports and Recreation Programs

This thriving community offers a number of sports and recreation options. While the Town holds yearly special events and programs, organizations within Crossfield also have lots to offer.

Crossfield Recreation & Events

Crossfield's recreation and events department works hard to deliver fun, safe, family-oriented programs and events for all to enjoy.

Events scattered throughout the year offer a chance for residents to come together to further their feelings of community and belonging, while regular programming delivers resources and activities catering to all ages.

Watch the community calendar (below) and the Town's social media for announcements about events happening in our community.

Crossfield Escapes Youth Programs (formerly Crossfield Summer Youth Rec Program)

Crossfield Escapes Youth Program is a year-round recreational program for children ages 10 and up with adventures taking place throughout the year including summer school breaks. See all of the latest adventures on our Crossfield Escapes Facebook page. Click here to register for upcoming offerings!

Financial Assistance

Families who may require financial assistance for sport or recreation programming costs have opportunities to apply to the following organizations:

Kidsport

KidSport is a national, not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process, Kidsport provides grants so kids can play a season of sport.

Nationally, KidSport is comprised of a network of 11 provincial/territorial KidSport chapters and 178 community KidSport chapters.

Since its creation in 1993, more than 450,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sports through KidSport grants and sport introduction programming.

Jumpstart

Jumpstart is available for families who require financial assistance to provide sports opportunities for their children. The Summer Adventures Day Camp and Crossfield Escapes Youth Program qualify for Jumpstart funding. Applications for Jumpstart are to be completed with a Community Links representative.
