The Town of Crossfield is all about its people. That’s why we’ve chosen to make this edition of Crossfield Living about the people who live and/or work here.

The phenomenal success of its farmers’ market is due to the superb vendors who set up for the weekly outdoor market in the summer months and at the specialty indoor markets throughout the year.

A grocery store may seem like a strange place to find one of the community’s most philanthropic and supportive members, but that is where you will find Crossfield’s Carmen Cornelius, a man with a big heart for his community.

Ensuring events like the yearly demolition derby held during Crossfield’s Pete Knight Days continue to thrive is being led by younger members of the community. Leadership skills are a focus at W.G. Murdoch School, giving youth the tools they need to succeed in their futures.

Programs such as the Lego Club at the Crossfield Municipal Library are a hit with younger kids while the Ladies League at Colicott Siding Golf Course is extremely popular. Residents don’t need to leave town to be entertained, either, thanks to the Artists of Crossfield Theatre Society.

And Crossfield is also booming. In fact, Boom Construction Ltd. has set up shop here, as has the very popular The Donut Man, with its enticing baked goods.
